Visiting Seven Feathers Casino Resort, Creekside & RV Resort

Family Friendly Lodging at Seven Feathers Casino Resort

I have to admit, I was a bit surprised to learn Seven Feathers was more than just a casino along the Freeway. We’ve driven by exit 99 countless times on our way to other destinations. We always have our kiddo with us so we’ve never taken time to venture inside since we assumed this is a 21+ type of place.

And then I saw a social media post featuring their newly remodeled suites at Creekside Hotel. These rooms were equipped with a jaw droppingly gorgeous soaking tub next to a fireplace. It was the type of luxury resort getaway I have yet to find anywhere nearby. I’m an east coast girl, and while Oregon is far superior in so many ways, I do miss having access to all the nearby resorts our coast had.

Our family took a weekend getaway to explore what all Seven Feathers had to offer. It’s not just a casino at all! It is SO MUCH MORE! They actually have multiple properties and each has its own unique style. There’s the casino resort which has an attached hotel, the newly remodeled Creekside hotel and suites, and the Seven Feathers RV resort which has yurts, cabins, and (obviously) RV camping.

I’m going to share each of these properties in detail with you. We visited them with our young child, and all of them have something wonderful for families to enjoy. Of course, these would also make a great destination for a romantic couples getaway or girls’ weekend so I’ll fill you in on those details too.

Yurt at Seven Feathers RV Resort

If you know me, to my core I’m not one of those girls whose ideal vacation involves camping. Honestly I’m not even interested in glamping in most scenarios. I know, I know- a lot of you love camping in tents. And that’s wonderful, keep doing what you love! If you identify with the “no tent” aspect of having a vacation, but you need to placate the rest of your camping loving family— this might be exactly what you’re looking for!

The Seven Feathers RV Resort has rental cabins, rental yurts, and RV campsites.

We chose to stay in a yurt! I’ve never stayed in a yurt before, but my kiddo has been begging to camp. I figured this was a good compromise. Remember how I said I’m hesitant to even glamp? Here’s what had me be excited about the Seven Feathers Yurts: A/C and heat, a full bathroom inside the yurt itself, a real mattress, and as a bonus there was a full-size fridge, dining table, couch, and tv!! The yurts each have an outdoor table and grill. The yurts and cabins were located along the edges of the resort, so I felt like they offered more privacy than an RV camp site would. They were still close to all the amenities.

Their RV Resort has tons of great RV sites all surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It was so clean and well kept. My family went on an evening walk to explore these since we weren’t staying in an RV. They are all located near tons of great stuff at the resort so it seemed easy for anyone in an RV to walk and have access to everything.

The RV Resort has a lovely playground with bathrooms right beside it. It also has an enormous indoor pool with hot tub and even a gym. There’s a fire pit area with corn hole set up, and lots of sheltered tables for a bigger group meal. I believe I read they have larger indoor meeting spaces if you need that for your group, but I never got a chance to seek those out. They have a small store when you check in, but if you need supplies or gifts I’d recommend a visit to the Seven Feathers Truck and Travel Center right down the road just because it was huge and well stocked.

Seven Feathers offers a free shuttle to anywhere in the area. You can hop on to visit the casino, the truck and travel center, or anywhere else in town!

We had a blast staying in a yurt for the first time! I am worried they’ve set the bar too high for all the other yurt rentals I’ve seen online. This was my kind of camping for sure!

Creekside Hotel and Suites

Newly Remodeled Luxury Suite at Creekside Hotel & Suites in Canyonville, OR

Seven Feathers just finished a huge remodel of Creekside Hotel and Suites. From the moment you step into the lobby, you can tell its fancier than most hotels along I-5. The lobby has the most gorgeous blown glass hanging from the ceiling. The front desk staff were so friendly and checked us in with a smile and warm cookies!! (Side note: these cookies are everything. Ask for seconds.) They have coffee, tea, and hot cocoa 24/7 in the dining area. I loved being able to grab coffee to have with my chocolate chip cookie on my way to the room. My kiddo was happy about the cookie and hot cocoa too!

The standard rooms are everything you’d expect. Clean and comfortable with nice toiletries. The TV was large, and there were lots of little luxury touches like motion sensor lighting underneath the nightstand. They had a mini fridge, and the keurig came stocked with Takelma Roasting Co. coffee k-cups. I hadn’t tried Takelma Roasting Co. coffee before, and now I’m hooked. Warm chocolate chip cookies and good coffee are a great start to a vacation for me!

The heated indoor salt water pool and hot tub were a huge hit for us! I’m always excited to have safe options that aren’t weather dependent and not having to apply sunscreen on a child is a giant win too. They also have a workout room, and a small business area in the lobby.

Creekside includes hot breakfast with their stays. My husband is a breakfast snob. He doesn’t want anything fancy, so anywhere that offers quality breakfast food staples ranks high on his list. The breakfast was beautifully laid out. On our visit, they offered sausage, eggs, and pancakes. They had hot oatmeal, a huge variety of kid friendly cereals, toast and bagels, yogurt, fruits, boiled eggs, juices, milk, and coffee. It was plentiful and delicious. My husband is still talking about this meal.

LIke I mentioned earlier, Seven Feathers offers a free shuttle to their guests. They’ll take you to their casino or anywhere else in town. It was such easy door to door service.

If you’re here to get details on those gorgeous suites, I’ll share everything I can. First of all, the suites are gigantic. The large soaking tub sits behind a fireplace that you can adjust via remote control. Guys- you can even make it change colors!! I chose yellow because it looked the most fiery. You can make it any color!! You can also view the tv from the tub. If you’re not a bath person, don’t worry. The suites have a huge tiled shower as well. There’s also a big couch, sitting area with table, and a second tv in front of the spacious bed area. This is hands down my top pick for a romantic weekend getaway and my family’s favorite spot to stay.

Suite at Seven Feathers Casino Resort in Canyonville, OR

Seven Feathers Casino Resort is stunning as you drive onto the property. It had lush landscaping in full bloom, and the lobby was gorgeous. LIke most casinos, the casino area is 21+ only, but the rest of the resort is family friendly.

The guest rooms are on the opposite end of the resort from the casino. It’s not a long walk, and I’m happy there’s a separation from resort guests and folks just there for the casino games. To get to the casino, you’ll walk past their spa, gift shops, their pool, lots of food choices, and the arcade.

The rooms at Seven Feathers Casino Resort were gorgeous. Ours had a pretty mountain view and also overlooked the courtyard area. The beds were quite comfortable, and everything was clean and well appointed. The bathroom was the most spacious of all their options we visited. The tv was large, and the room came with bottled water, Takelma coffee, and a mini fridge. And I almost forgot- they gave us more of those delicious cookies at check-in.

Their indoor pool was quite large, and had tons of seating options. I loved all the natural light coming in from the ceiling. They also have a large courtyard with great seating and room for the kids to run around to get out energy.

Seven Feathers Casino Resort has lots of dining options - in every budget. You can pick up a pastry and a coffee, grab pizza slices, or enjoy a sit down meal. The menus were easy to view online. We went on a weekend, and they offer a bloody mary and mimosa bar right in the lobby!

One of our favorite things to do was to visit their arcade! I’ve got more info on that in the arcade section below, so be sure to check it out if you’re traveling with kids.

Seven Feathers Casino Resort is also an event destination! They have concerts and performances year round. The weekend I visited, they had what was definitely a 21+ not for kids show happening much later that night, and there were a ton of ladies visiting for a girls weekend. I know that had to be a fun getaway for them.

If you’re traveling with kids and hoping to fit in casino time, this was the easiest property to squeeze that into. One parent can sneak away under the pretense of going down to front desk or picking up something from one of the shops while the other stays with the kids, and swap out when they return. The shuttles still make that an easy option at all the properties though.

Arcade at Seven Feathers Casino Resort

The Seven Feathers Casino Resort Arcade is one of the best we’ve been to in Oregon! It’s packed full of fun games, prizes, and super cool decor. There are games for kids of all ages, and we went multiple times during our visit. The free shuttles will pick you up and take you to there from any of their properties.

Whether you’re staying at one of their properties, or just passing through Canyonville on I-5, you’re going to want to stop at the Seven Feathers Truck and Travel Center. The bathrooms were clean.
